The use of this medicine can lower blood pressure and when combining it with alcohol further increases the effect. You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, flushing, headache, and heart palpitation. Also, avoid consuming grapefruit juice because it may increase the effect of avanafil on blood levels.
Cardiovascular disease:
The use of phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme inhibitors is contraindicated in patients with cardiovascular disease. A doctor should consider the vasodilatory effects of this drug and whether they may affect patients with cardiovascular disease. The use of this drug may increase the risk of angina pectoris, AV block, myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmia, tachycardia, palpitation, hypotension, postural hypotension, syncope, cerebral thrombosis, cerebrovascular hemorrhage, transient ischemic attack, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and hypertension. These events can occur during or after sexual activity.
Renal dysfunction:
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with severe renal disease or on renal dialysis. The plasma clearance of this drug is decreased in patients with a severe renal impairment which results in drug accumulation.
Liver diseases:
The use of this drug is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment because the pharmacokinetic disposition of this drug has not been assessed in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

John Joseph Lees, 41, of New Orleans, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his home in the city’s Long Island District Court, according to a statement from the United States Attorney’s Office.
Lees was arrested in a separate case in the Southern District of New York, where he had been arrested and charged in federal court with the sale of more than $3.4 million worth of counterfeit, expired and counterfeit erectile dysfunction pills, among other offenses.
Lees is accused of conspiring to fix the price of counterfeit Viagra and to supply it to a person who allegedly bought the pills online.
“I’ve been a victim of this case for the past nine years, and I’m not alone,” Lees told ABC News in an interview. “This has been a very difficult case for me and I’m here today to thank the U. S. Attorney’s office for this case and for this sentence that I’m going to get.”
According to the United States Attorney’s Office’s report, Lees and a confidential undercover agent purchased, counterfeit Viagra, counterfeit pills, and counterfeit goods from a woman at the New Orleans neighborhood in August 2016.
The man was not named in the indictment, and his arrest was made during a pretrial detention hearing.
The case was prosecuted by U. District Attorney’s Office. Lees is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday, Nov. 22, 2016, at 6:00 a.m. in New Orleans for the alleged sale and distribution of counterfeit goods and an indictment of the defendant.
Lees was arrested at his home in the Long Island District Court in August 2016.“This was a very difficult case for me,” Lees said in an interview on ABC News radio. “I’m here to thank the U. Attorney’s office for this case and for the sentence that I’m going to get.”

The U. Attorney’s Office has charged Lees with three counts of trafficking in counterfeit goods, one count of trafficking in counterfeit goods and one count of distribution of counterfeit goods.
The charges in the case were consolidated before U. District Judge James F. Fugh-Berman, who also is prosecuting Lees’ case.
The United States Attorney’s Office said Lees is facing up to 18 years in prison for the trafficking in counterfeit goods. He is expected to submit the sentencing recommendation and trial date in federal court.
The case is a part of a broader investigation by the FBI and the U. Postal Inspection Service. The federal government is looking at several other investigations as well.
